Mission

Fairfield County Economic Development aims to increase economic opportunities for its residents and enhance the quality of life within its communities.

2025 Strategic Plan

Fairfield County recently completed an analysis with the Creative Economic Development Consulting firm to compose the Strategic Economic Development Plan for Fairfield County. After community analysis and input from County Council, the plan was adopted and approved to serve as our plan moving into 2024 and beyond.

M. Ann Broadwater

Director

Mrs. Broadwater has 25+ years of economic development experience in both South Carolina and Virginia. She served as the senior development manager and economic development manager with the South Carolina Department of Commerce and later worked as a senior project manager and director of public and investor relations for the Central South Carolina Alliance. In Virginia, Mrs. Broadwater was a project leader and manager of global business development.

Devarius McDonald

Project Manager

Devarius graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Economics, focusing on Developmental Economics. His college years were marked by a diverse range of experiences in business development, sales, finance, research, and law. These opportunities equipped him with a unique perspective and a versatile skill set, essential for navigating the complexities of economic development.
